As an institute committed to international collaboration, our aim is to foster a network of experts, academics, researchers, and social justice advocates, who are motivated to work together in advancing and promoting human rights and global health.

Each of our Fellows are esteemed experts in their fields of study, with many holding connections to institutions of higher education around the world. These institutional affiliations span countries such as Canada, the United States, France, Burkina Faso, Senegal, Mali, Nigeria, Peru, Tunisia, and the United Arab Emirates.

At the individual level, Fellows maintain a broad network of academic, professional, and organizational affiliations that extend across Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, England, Finland, Germany, the Netherlands, Benin, Gabon, Kenya, Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, Japan, Singapore, Spain, Turkey, Ukraine, and Italy—further underscoring the international scope of our members’ work and engagement.

Additionally, Fellows of the institute often lead their own non-governmental organizations and academic institutions, including the Manushya Foundation in Thailand, the Ouagadougou Graduate School of Legal Studies in Burkina Faso, and the Centre for Indigenous Cultures of Peru. Many Canadian Institute for Human Rights and Global Health Fellows are also affiliated with prominent international and intergovernmental bodies such as the United Nations, The Hague, the Centre for Refugee Studies, the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights, the League of Arab States, the Canadian Armed Forces, and the Continental Network of Indigenous Women of the Americas, just to name a few.
