A key element of the Canadian Institute for Human Rights and Global Health is the establishment of academic research roles to focus on various specialities in the fields of human rights and global health.
Distinguished Research Chairs have been named as Research Chairs to the institute, for three year terms, and may receive a stipend to support their research and scholarly activities.
“The development of public policy plays a key role in shaping society and therefore the consideration for how these policies will impact the lives and health outcomes of citizens is of utmost importance. I am extremely proud to be participating in the mission of the Canadian Institute for Human Rights and Global Health and to be named a Distinguished Research Chair. The opportunity to exchange ideas with international colleagues working in this domain is very exciting and will offer a wealth of knowledge from which to conduct my scholarly work.”
